silk kimonos

These three, two for woman, another one of man are something special. Not only for the silk and the chosen subjects, but for the love and care I have put in painting and sewing.

In his designs and elaboration I have put everything I like, are

  1. Silk Kimono, The three Geishas. Based on the e-ukiyo (Japanese xilografias)  the Japanese recorders of the eighteenth century.  I have painted three geisha, as did the great Kitawaga Utamaru.
  2. Silk Kimono, Africa. The colors and geometric patterns of the African tribes in the silk kimono made with traditional long sleeves for a man.
  3. Silk Hipari (short kimono) where I painted my vision of the “Tree of Wisdom” Gustav KLIMT

All three are available in my shop. Visit it and surprise yourself with the prices.

Summer and Fans

The summer is back, something scrambled with ups and downs of temperatures. But already Virgin of July is already here (15 July, Virgen del Carmen -The Virgin of the sailors-) that marks the beginning of the comeback of the thermometer that will follow until the next Virgin, that of August (15 August, Virgin of the Ascension) date in which it will begin to lower again the temperatures. It is curious how the ancient tradition and based on the observation of our ancestors is still maintained.

That same tradition that I create our best ally for these heats, the fan or as I say of joke, the portable air conditioning more ecological and economic of the world, since these exclusive start in €45.00 (shipping included). They are also beautiful as these photos show:

start again

The stress of Christmas, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day has already passed.

And as many know, I do not just paint silks, I also paint watercolors. In these times besides making handkerchiefs, fans and other complements in silk, I have dedicated to make a series called “jazz” for an exhibition that will take place the next months of July and August in the Cultural Center and Museum El Portón.

I await your opinions, therefore I must discard some. First a little format (30×40 cm – 11,81×15,75inch)

Thelonious Monk

and now, the big format (50x70cm – 19,69×27,55inch):

Bass and drums
Street of New York (Waiting for a cab)

and my favorite for the exhibit:

Street of New Orleans (Mardí grass)

A see you soon

Mother’s Day gathers the Hellenistic tradition of the goddess Rea, mother of the gods Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
Each country celebrates it on different dates. Norway celebrates the month of February, countries of the Balkans and some republics of the USSR do together with the day of the working woman on March 8.
But the great majority of the countries celebrate it in the month of May.
In Spain, together with Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal and South Africa we celebrate the FIRST SUNDAY OF MAY.
Countries such as Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium (except Antwerp), Canadá, Chile, China, Colombia (except Cúcuta), Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Honduras, Italy, , Flag of JapanJapan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Netherlands, Peru, Puerto Rico, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, Venezuela do it on SECOND SUNDAY.

And the rest on different days of this month
